FAQ’s

How does Studio Sitter work?

Studio Sitter is a mobile child care, operating out of a 30 foot trailer that parks in the vicinity of the business the parent is attending a class or appointment at. Children are checked in during a 15 minute window prior to the engagement, and checked out during a 15 minute window afterward.

Is it safe?

Yes! We park our trailer outside the business we’ve partnered with, steps away from the parent, and it is never in motion while the children are inside. We have two background checked and CPR and First Aid certified Child Care Providers on the trailer at all times, and there is video surveillance as well.

How do I buy a session?

Studio Sitter sessions can be purchased on our website here.

How do I book my child’s spot once I have bought my session?

You can log in to our portal here and book your desired session on our calendar.

What ages do you accept?

We care for children ages 3 months to 9 years.

What do I need to bring for my child for the session?

We simply ask your child come fed, changed and ready to play. We are a shoes-off environment so if you prefer your child sock-footed, that works. We also recommend providing a change of clothes for your child if they are prone to accidents or spit up. We also request you leave no snacks or beverages with your child. We have water for the children on hand.

What activities do the children do on the trailer?

We have everything from puzzles, building blocks, and books, among other games, and are prepared with songs and physical activities (including yoga for kids!) depending on the age groups for each session. Our goal is to create a safe, fun, and healthy environment for your children.

What is your cancellation policy?

Per our Terms and Conditions: “If a Customer schedules a session but does not attend, it is considered a No Show.  If a Customer cancels a session less than 12 hours before the scheduled session time, it is considered a Late Cancel. The Customer will be charged half the session cost per Late Cancel and the full session cost for a No Show.”

What if my child is sick?

We ask that you wait at least 48 hours after your child has had a fever or has been sick before they attend a session with us. We understand colds and sickness can come up unexpectedly and in the case of this happening within our 12 hour cancellation policy, we just ask that you let us know and the fee will be waived.

What is your schedule?

You can view our full schedule here.

How do I get Studio Sitter at my favorite gym?

We’d love to be there! Give us a shout out here telling us where you’d love to see us, and also let your gym (or salon, spa, shop) owner know that you’d like our service offered at their place of business.

Are you a licensed day care?

We are not. We fall under the same category as a Church nursery or a traditional gym child care option, according to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services:

SUBCHAPTER C. REGULATION OF CERTAIN FACILITIES, HOMES, AND AGENCIES §42.041. Required License.

(a) No person may operate a child-care facility or child-placing agency without a license issued by the department.

(b) This section does not apply to:

(1) a state-operated facility;

(2) an agency foster home;

(3) a facility that is operated in connection with a shopping center, business, religious organization, or establishment where children are cared for during short periods while parents or persons responsible for the children are attending religious services, shopping, or engaging in other activities, including retreats or classes for religious instruction, on or near the premises, that does not advertise as a child-care facility or day-care center, and that informs parents that it is not licensed by the state
